Kiddo is home sick.
Thursday October 17, 2024Kiddo is home sick with some school crud. 101 F fever and cough. Probably not Covid, but gotta test him.
Tons of anxiety of my side with my working schedule and taking care of him. He’s pretty easy. Just playing on the computer. But need to remember to give him his cold meds.
He’s 11 but still wants a bubble bath. Cute. Whatever he needs to feel better.
I hate to see him so yuck.

Scared About This Election
Monday October 14, 2024I’m scared about the November Presidential Election. There I said it in writing. I’m quietly freaking out. I’m a staunch Harris/Walz supporter. I’m a Democrat, especially this year, all the way down the ballot.
The GOP scares the living fuck out of me. Especially former-POTUS Trump. And let’s not forget his running mate Vance. He’s pretty scary too.
I get many Jews are worried about Israel. I am too. But we NEED to worry about our own country first when it comes to this election. We don’t live in Israel. We live here in the US. If Trump wins, I’m afraid for my son, my family, our future. He’s scary and totally off his rocker. He’ll say anything and his base is a bunch of sheep that follow this dementia-ridden lunatic’s every word.
Ugh and Oye.

I voted this past week. Walked the ballot to the Bucks admin building. Mail in ballot but more like a walk-in ballot.
Wanted to make sure it got there. I don’t really trust the USPS since the Orange-Cheeto man fucked it up when he was POTUS.
Feels good to do my civic duty.

I agree with stopping contributing to the open source project until Matt gets himself under control. I don’t think switching to another CMS is doing anything other than making yourself have a headache. Unless you’re game to CMS jump and have been CMS curious for a while.
I definitely like new stuff. But a learning curve isn’t in the cards right now.
I am hedging my bets with Mastodon and the Fediverse though. I’m spreading my wealth to Micro.blog (this very site) bc Eugene, who runs Mastodon is a BDFL and hasn’t gone off the rails, but with Mullenweg I didn’t think he’s go so off the map either.
